## Description

Next Step Transitions is a not-for-profit organisation supporting autistic young people aged 14–19 as they move from school into further or higher education, training, or employment. Drawing on more than 50 years of combined experience, it offers personalised, one-to-one guidance to young people and their parents or carers, helping them plan their next steps and navigate change with greater confidence.

Its holistic transition support focuses on education and employment, mental health care, and personal development. The team provides person-centred advice to help families make informed choices about courses, training, and work. It also offers wellbeing strategies to address the stress that can accompany major transitions, alongside practical opportunities to build independence. These may include learning to cook on a budget, preparing for interviews, using social media, and managing finances.

Next Step Transitions works with schools and education providers to plan individual support needs and ease the move into college or university. Eligible students may access sponsored transition hours through participating schools, while others can self-refer.
