## Description

North East Young Dads & Lads (NEYDL) is a unique youth support service dedicated to empowering young men and young fathers in the North East of England. Founded in 2015, NEYDL aims to provide support and opportunities for young dads under 25 years old. NEYDL operates on the values of trust, respect, and honesty, offering a non-judgmental environment for young men to seek help and find long-term solutions. Their services include individual help, peer support, advocacy, training and education, and employability programs. Through their programs, NEYDL helps young men develop self-worth, self-confidence, and self-esteem, build resilience, and reduce social isolation. They also focus on enhancing parenting skills, improving relationships, and empowering young men to voice their needs and be involved in decisions that affect their lives and the lives of their children. NEYDL works with young fathers and other vulnerable young men in Gateshead, South Tyneside, and Sunderland. Their dedicated team of experienced youth workers provides over 40 hours of support to each young man they work with. With a passion for lifelong learning and a determination to challenge negative perceptions of young men, NEYDL is committed to creating a supportive and inclusive community where young dads can thrive.
