## Description

The National Foundation for Corporate Governance (NFCG) is dedicated to fostering a business environment that encourages the voluntary adoption of exemplary corporate governance practices in India. Established in 2003 through a public-private partnership initiated by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, NFCG collaborates with various professional bodies, including the Confederation of Indian Industry, the Institute of Company Secretaries of India, and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.

NFCG's mission is to enhance corporate governance standards by promoting transparency and accountability across industries. They aim to bridge the gap between governance frameworks and actual compliance, facilitating active participation from multiple stakeholders. The foundation is committed to advancing diverse areas such as Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), sustainability, ethical business practices, risk management, and cyber security.
