## Description

National Health Foundation (NHFCA) is an organization dedicated to improving the health of under-resourced communities in Los Angeles, CA. As a team of passionate upstreamists, they work tirelessly to remove barriers that prevent communities from achieving their highest level of health. NHFCA offers a range of essential services that directly address the immediate social needs of these communities, such as job training, shelter, education, and access to food. Their impact is evident through their accomplishments in 2019, including providing 85,248 safe shelter nights for recuperative care guests, accessing $250,000 in food benefits for families, and providing direct assistance to 2,730 individuals in accessing food benefits. In addition, NHFCA has saved the healthcare system a remarkable $20 million through their recuperative care initiatives. To achieve their goals, NHFCA employs three key strategies: delivering essential services to under-resourced communities, building relationships and trust with residents and stakeholders, and employing systematic inquiry to inform and improve their work. Become part of NHFCA's mission by staying informed through their newsletter and supporting their work through donations. Join them in their unwavering commitment to improving the health of under-resourced communities.
