## Description

The National Hispanic Health Research Institute (NHHRI) is a national health equity institute working to improve the health and well-being of Hispanic, Latino, rural, and other historically underserved communities across the United States. Its approach is community-led, data-driven, and culturally grounded, bringing together community organizations, researchers, academic institutions, health systems, policymakers, and national partners. NHHRI supports communities as co-creators of research and informed users of their data, connecting lived experience and community knowledge with rigorous research methods.

The institute’s work includes a national collaborative network, a population health data platform, community-designed research, and training, mentorship, and technical assistance in research methods, evaluation, data literacy, ethics, and grant development. It also translates evidence into programs, practice, policy, and systems change, and convenes conferences, workshops, and learning opportunities. Its research focus includes patient-centered outcomes, healthcare disparities and social determinants of health, multilingual research, technology, and longitudinal and cross-generational studies. Through Conexión 360 Insights, NHHRI shares case studies, analysis, and commentary that elevate community-based organizations as contributors to knowledge and Latino health equity.
