## Description

Nigerian Girl In STEM (NGIS) is a nonprofit organisation and empowerment platform based in Lagos, Nigeria, dedicated to helping girls and young women pursue and thrive in science, technology, engineering and mathematics. Guided by a commitment to quality education and gender equality, the organisation works to build skills, confidence and opportunity through education outreach, mentorship, youth empowerment and upskilling support.

NGIS runs initiatives that help address practical barriers to education and participation. Its causes include scholarships for secondary and undergraduate students, free JAMB examination registration forms, books for students in need, and support to alleviate period poverty. The organisation also connects its network with job opportunities and offers volunteer and mentor pathways for people and partners who want to contribute.

Individuals and organisations can participate as members, mentors, sponsors, corporate partners, outreach coordinators or fundraising and events volunteers. Through campaigns, community engagement and its online publications, NGIS promotes girls’ potential in STEM and encourages supporters to advance inclusive education and gender parity.
