## Description

The Northern Illinois Hockey League (NIHL) is a youth hockey organization serving clubs and teams across Northern Illinois. Its stated mission is to help pave the road to excellence in youth hockey, alongside the Chicago Blackhawks. NIHL provides a league structure for young players to compete and develop, with information on game schedules, live scores, standings, and tournaments available to players, families, coaches, and team managers. The league also shares news about its community and former players, including alumni who have gone on to achieve success at national and international levels.

To support teams throughout the season, NIHL offers practical resources such as its bylaws, playing rules, manager forms, codes of conduct, referee evaluations, rink-finder information, and registration guidance. The site also features a calendar, academic excellence information, and NIHL apparel and banners. Clubs and teams can use these services and resources to stay informed, manage league activities, and follow competition across the season. NIHL invites visitors to subscribe to its newsletter for updates.
