## Description

Nikoli ry is the student association for geoscience students at the University of Oulu in Finland. Also known as the Geological Club of the University of Oulu, it has supported students since its activities began in 1962 and was officially established in 1963, making it one of the university’s oldest student associations. Its central role is to represent geoscience students and support them throughout their studies, while also maintaining connections with graduates.

Nikoli brings members together through social activities that build community, encourage networking and enrich student life. Its website provides resources for studying, including information on degree structures, elective studies and an archive of past exams. New students can find applicant guidance, a glossary of student terms and information about small-group activities. The association also shares event photos, publishes the Kiteitä magazine and offers Nikoli merchandise and overall patches. Members can learn about the board, join the association and access event guidelines and safer-space principles. For graduates, Nikoli supports an alumni network and mailing list.
