## Description

Nimbus Power Systems develops and deploys zero-emission fuel cell systems for heavy-duty transportation, with a mission to build a cleaner world through practical design and integration. Drawing on more than 50 years of heavy-duty fuel cell experience among its founders, the company focuses on systems for applications such as long-haul trucks and buses. Its NIMBUS300 is designed for heavy-duty trucks and aims to serve as a one-to-one replacement for diesel power, operating across climates and drive cycles without batteries to augment traction power.

Nimbus highlights durability, efficiency, and ease of operation as key features of its technology. Its patented cell technology is designed for a 30,000-hour operating life without major overhauls or cell or stack replacement. The system architecture is intended to improve fuel-cell performance while eliminating the need for a DC/DC converter, reducing cost, weight, and volume. The company also advocates hydrogen as a long-range, fast-refueling energy source for heavy-duty vehicles, with potential feedstocks including natural gas and renewable- or nuclear-powered electrolysis.
