## Description

Nirmal 'Nims' Purja is a truly historic mountaineer and an elite soldier. Born in Nepal, he had a distinguished 16-year military career, including 6 years as a Ghurka and 10 years with the UK Special Forces (SBS). Nims has accumulated an impressive list of record-breaking summits and high-altitude rescue missions. Despite growing up in the flatlands of Chitwan, he developed a passion for mountaineering during a trek to Everest Base Camp in 2012. Nims became the first ever Gurkha to join the UK Special Boat Service (SBS) and quickly excelled in the field. He discovered a natural physiological advantage in acclimatizing to altitude quickly, which fueled his ambition for even greater challenges. In 2019, Nims embarked on 'Project Possible' with the goal of climbing the world's fourteen highest peaks in seven months, a feat many deemed impossible. He achieved this incredible feat and proved that with the right mindset and planning, anything is possible. Nims now offers exclusive mountaineering opportunities and high-altitude special projects through his enterprise 'Nimsdai', sharing his knowledge and approach as a ground-breaking expedition leader.
