## Description

The Nintendo Independent Wiki Alliance (NIWA) is a collaborative network founded on February 14, 2010, by prominent Nintendo fan wikis such as Bulbapedia, ZeldaWiki, and the Super Mario Wiki. With the mission to strengthen and support a diverse community of independently operated wikis, NIWA now encompasses over twenty wikis, encompassing a wide range of Nintendo franchises in English, German, and Italian. Each wiki within NIWA maintains its own identity, design, and operational autonomy while united by a common passion for enhancing the accessibility of Nintendo-related information.

Embodying the spirit of cooperation, NIWA fosters an environment where fan communities can thrive without the interference of corporate entities, prioritizing fan enjoyment and knowledge sharing. The organization's goal is to create a welcoming hub for independent, community-oriented wikis, ensuring that every fan has a reliable source of information about the imaginative realms of Nintendo. Join NIWA to experience a vibrant network dedicated to celebrating and expanding the Nintendo fan experience.
