## Description

NJCRI is a Newark-based nonprofit dedicated to improving community health through accessible, evidence-based care and support. For more than 35 years, it has provided HIV/AIDS care and treatment to people in Northern New Jersey, with a focus on quality, accountability, and equitable access. Its services include medical care, sexual health screenings and counseling, hepatitis C testing and treatment, substance use treatment, and mental health programs with psychiatric support. NJCRI also offers free, confidential rapid hepatitis C testing to support early detection and diagnosis.

Beyond clinical services, NJCRI provides community-based support designed to meet people’s varied needs. Programs include welcoming drop-in centers for youth and adults, a food pantry, supportive services, prevention and education, and street medicine that brings care directly to people. The organization also offers behavioral health and counseling services, community resources, and opportunities for connection and education through events and programs. Based at 393 Central Avenue, NJCRI serves individuals and communities with compassionate, wrap-around care intended to support health and well-being.
