## Description

NJDOT Local Hub is a resource from the New Jersey Department of Transportation’s Local Resources & Community Development section, serving communities and local public agencies across the state. Its purpose is to connect users with funding, planning, project development, technical guidance, and other support that helps maintain transportation assets, protect the environment, and improve quality of life for residents and travelers.

The hub brings together five areas of expertise. Local Aid & Economic Development helps counties and municipalities plan projects, apply for grants, and deliver transportation improvements. Aeronautics supports airport development and planning, facility licensing, and aviation safety. Outdoor Advertising Services oversees sign licensing and permits and regulates junkyards along National Highway System routes in New Jersey. Environmental Resources provides guidance and oversight for compliance with federal and state environmental requirements. Community Development offers information on project development and major access permits.

Resources include federal and state grant programs, local transportation funding, forms, publications, calendars, invoicing assistance, and permitting tools.
