Description
The New Jersey Library Association (NJLA) is the oldest and largest library organization in New Jersey, established in 1890. Our mission is to advocate for library services for residents of New Jersey and support intellectual freedom and access to various media forms, including books, music, movies, and information. We provide education and networking opportunities for library staff, ensuring they are equipped with the latest knowledge and skills to serve the community effectively. With over 2,000 members, our office in Bordentown, NJ, serves as a hub for providing services and resources to our dedicated members.
We offer various programs and events, including committee and section meetings, that connect library professionals and trustees and foster collaboration. NJLA stands for inclusivity, respecting diverse perspectives, and promoting equitable access to information for all. Our organization also offers scholarships and internships to support the development of future library leaders. For more information and to join the NJLA community, visit our website at www.
