## Description

Northern Karate Markham is a martial arts school serving Markham and surrounding communities, including Scarborough and Pickering. Part of the Northern Karate organization, which describes itself as Canada’s largest and most prestigious martial arts organization, the school has operated since 2004. Its 10,000-square-foot facility provides karate instruction for children, teens, and adults in a welcoming, supportive environment. Training is presented as a way to develop physical and mental well-being, fitness, confidence, focus, discipline, and balance.

Programs accommodate different ages and experience levels. Children can begin at age three through the Kinder Karate program, while older children, teens, and adults can join classes suited to their skills. The school offers a three-month Novice program with unlimited classes, an intermediate BBM program with longer, more in-depth sessions, and an advanced Masters program for students developing higher-level techniques and preparing for black belt and beyond. Teen and adult students can also explore specialty karate classes.
