# NKV Atlas - **Website:** - **Primary alias:** `nkv-atlas.nl` ## Description Nijmeegse Krachtsport Vereniging Atlas, known as NKV Atlas, is a community sports club in Nijmegen, founded in 1953 and described as the Netherlands’ oldest strength sports association. Located at Bazuinstraat 1, the club brings together people interested in fitness, boxing, powerlifting and Olympic weightlifting. Atlas has a history of success in weightlifting and has produced national, European and world champions, while welcoming members who simply want to build strength, exercise or clear their minds. The club offers monthly memberships for fitness and boxing, as well as a combined fitness and boxing option. Children aged 5 to 15 can join youth boxing, while adult boxing is available from age 16. Training takes place in a shared gym environment, with athletes from different disciplines working alongside one another. Atlas also cooperates with Sportkaart. New members sign up at the gym’s reception, and a one-time registration fee applies.
