Northern Kentucky Health Department (NKY Health Dept) is the local health department serving Boone, Campbell, Grant, and Kenton counties in Kentucky. It is dedicated to improving and protecting the health of the community it serves. With a population of over 400,000 people, the department provides a wide range of services to both residents and visitors.

NKY Health Dept employs approximately 150 individuals across various divisions, including Administration and Accounting, Clinical Services, Environmental Health and Safety, and Population Health. It operates four health centers, one in each county, and a district office in Florence, Kentucky. Funding for NKY Health Dept comes from a mix of sources, such as local, state, and federal allocations, grants, tax revenues, and Medicaid reimbursement.

The department is led by the District Director of Health and governed by a 21-member District Board of Health, with additional policy-setting by Local Boards of Health and a Personnel Board. In recognition of its commitment to quality and performance, NKY Health Dept was one of the first health departments in the nation to achieve national accreditation in 2013 and achieved reaccreditation in 2019.
