New Mexico Junior College is an independent junior college located in Hobbs, New Mexico. Established as the first independent junior college in the state, NMJC boasts a sprawling campus spanning 243 acres with around 500,000 square feet of building space. With a student population of approximately 3,000 and a dedicated faculty of 265 full-time employees, NMJC offers various Associate degrees, including Associate of Arts, Associate of Science, and Associate of Applied Science, along with certificates in business and industry trades.


Notably, NMJC is renowned for its nationally recognized NJCAA athletic programs in baseball, men’s and women’s basketball, golf, women’s cross country, women’s track, and rodeo (governed by NIRA). In addition to academics and athletics, NMJC provides exceptional support services and resources to ensure student success.
