## Description

NMO Brasil is the Brazilian Association of Patients with Neuromyelitis Optica and Diseases of its Spectrum, a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization founded in 2014. It works to welcome, guide and inform people living with NMOSD and their families, while raising public awareness and defending patients’ rights. Its advocacy focuses on access to timely diagnosis, appropriate treatment, public policies and better quality of life.

The organization provides educational resources about the disease, its symptoms and the patient journey, alongside a library, useful links and information about doctors and treatment centers. Its conVIVENDO initiative offers online talks with health professionals, helping patients access clear, practical information. NMO Brasil also provides a patient identification card and a regular bulletin about its work.

Through the annual Março Verde campaign and #TodosPelaCURANMO, the association promotes awareness, education and early recognition of symptoms. It shares news about NMOSD, supports patient registration and storytelling, and connects people through community initiatives.
