## Description

The Networks of Inquiry and Indigenous Education (NOIIE) is a voluntary, inquiry-based network of schools established in British Columbia in 2000. Funded by the BC Ministry of Education, it works to improve the quality and equity of education through collaboration across roles, schools, and districts. The network supports educators in using evidence, teamwork, and coaching-based assessment to help learners take greater ownership of their learning and ensure young people have access to high-quality educational opportunities.

NOIIE’s central approach is the Spiral of Inquiry, a framework that guides schools in investigating learning needs, developing understanding, and taking informed action. Its initiatives include the Indigenous Education Impact Initiative, Indigenous Transitions Study, Literacy and Numeracy Project, Self-regulated Learning Network, and Nature Schools Network. NOIIE also shares case studies, reports, and other resources, and offers learning bursts, network discussions, reading sessions, newsletters, and an annual symposium. Through these services and international connections, the network helps education communities learn from inquiry and strengthen practice.
