## Description

Non-League Day is an annual campaign celebrating grassroots football and encouraging fans to support their local non-league clubs. Founded by James Doe in 2010 as a social media experiment, it has grown into a regular part of the football calendar, scheduled to coincide with an international break. The initiative is supported by clubs, charities, public figures, media organisations and, most importantly, non-league teams and their supporters.

The campaign highlights the affordable, volunteer-led football offered by community clubs. Matchday income can help fund youth teams, local projects and facilities, while visitors can enjoy welcoming grounds, realistic ticket prices and the traditional 3pm kick-off at many games. Non-League Day invites supporters whose usual teams are not playing, as well as newcomers, to discover the football available in their area.

The organisation’s website helps visitors find local matches through its Match Finder and promotes campaign activities, including the Non-League Awards and NLD badges.
