## Description

The Noordelijk Film Festival is an annual film festival based in Leeuwarden, Friesland, bringing films and related events to audiences in the north of the Netherlands. Known for its varied programming, welcoming hospitality and warm atmosphere, the festival presents screenings alongside special experiences such as premieres, film concerts, talks and selections for young audiences. Its 2026 edition is scheduled for 4–8 November.

Visitors can explore the festival programme, plan their days with a schedule, and purchase tickets for individual events. The organisation also supports filmmakers through Noorderkroon Talent & Industry, and offers educational activities for primary, secondary and vocational education, as well as for international newcomer classes. Young NoFF provides programming for younger filmgoers.

Beyond the festival, Noordelijk Film Festival involves volunteers, partners and FilmVrienden. Friends receive benefits at the festival, Slieker and the Fries Film en Audio Archief. The organisation also shares news and information about venues, accessibility, sustainability and accommodation discounts, and works to make socially and environmentally conscious choices.
