## Description

Norfolk County Golf Union (NCGU) is a non-profit organisation founded in 1908 to administer amateur golf across Norfolk. It supports golfers, clubs and competitions throughout the county, with work spanning course rating for the World Handicap System, handicapping, county championships and inter-club matchplay. The union also promotes junior golf and provides advice and guidance on a wide range of golf-related subjects.

NCGU organises competitions for men, seniors and junior golfers, and its news coverage highlights county teams and players competing in local and regional events. Its calendar includes matchplay championships and knockout competitions, alongside team fixtures and junior tournaments. The organisation also features Norfolk Ladies County Golf Association among its county golf links and resources.

Based at Royal Norwich, the union serves as a point of contact for Norfolk’s amateur golf community. Through its administration, competitions and guidance, NCGU helps coordinate county golf and support participation at club and representative levels.
