## Description

North Bay Cancer Alliance (NBCA) is an independent community resource supporting cancer patients and their families, friends, and caregivers in the North Bay. Since 2005, the organization has provided more than $1 million in direct assistance to hundreds of local patients. Its mission is to help people, particularly those with low incomes, access treatment, maintain continuity of care, and preserve dignity during the cancer journey.

NBCA offers free rides to medical appointments, financial assistance, grocery and gas cards, and help with urgent needs such as medical equipment and other essential expenses. Its services also include air transport assistance, cancer information, support groups, complementary therapies, nutrition resources, and support for children with cancer. The organization provides free wigs and hats through the Brave Woman’s Sharing Boutique and offers resources related to LGBT support and animal-assisted therapy. For families traveling long distances for pediatric cancer treatment, NBCA provides immediate assistance without an application or waiting period.
