## Description

The Northeastern Weather Network (NEWN) is a collaborative platform dedicated to providing real-time weather data across the Northeastern United States, including New England, New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. Founded in April 2008 by Jack Ahern, NEWN empowers weather enthusiasts and professionals alike by allowing members with Personal Weather Stations to contribute live data. This community-driven network features a user-friendly interface where visitors can access a live weather map displaying current conditions, making it an essential resource for anyone planning travel or monitoring severe weather in the region.

In 2013, Ken True took over the site's administration, further enhancing its functionality with advanced mapping and data tools. NEWN not only offers critical information for storm tracking but also serves as a hub for sharing knowledge and fostering connections among meteorology enthusiasts. With support from various contributors and technology experts, the Northeastern Weather Network stands out as a reliable source for localized weather insights and forecasts.
