## Description

Northern Rescue operates the Northland Westpac Rescue Helicopter service, providing emergency rescue and aeromedical support to people in need. Its experienced, multidisciplinary teams—including pilots, paramedics and other crew—respond to more than 2,000 missions each year, bringing advanced medical care to patients and reaching places others cannot. The organisation’s fleet includes rescue helicopters and rapid response vehicles that support its life-saving work.

As a registered New Zealand charity, Northern Rescue relies on community generosity and sponsors to help fund its service. People can contribute through one-off or ongoing donations, leaving a gift in a will, becoming a sponsor, or organising a fundraiser. The organisation also raises support through events, its online store and lotteries, including special prize draws. Its annual appeal and community activities, such as the Cyclespot Group Rescue Ride, invite the public to take part in supporting rescue missions. Northern Rescue shares information about its people, fleet, impact and stories, and encourages supporters to stay connected and help sustain emergency services for local communities.
