The Northern Sierra Partnership (NSP) is a collaborative effort between five non-profit organizations aimed at conserving and restoring the stunning landscapes of the Northern Sierra Nevada. The partners, including The Nature Conservancy, Trust for Public Land, the Truckee Donner Land Trust, the Feather River Land Trust, and the Sierra Business Council, joined forces in 2007 to combat the increasing development pressure threatening the region. Together, they have successfully conserved over 112,000 acres of land, including iconic areas such as Castle Peak, Martis Valley, Independence Lake, and Sierra Valley.

The NSP focuses on conserving contiguous, healthy natural landscapes, restoring forests, rivers, and meadows, and expanding opportunities for recreational enjoyment and environmental education in the region. Their work not only benefits the diverse plant and animal communities but also helps maintain water quality and store carbon. The Partnership invites individuals who care about the Sierra Nevada to join their cause in ensuring the protection of this treasured natural environment.
