## Description

North Petherton Carnival Committee organises the North Petherton Guy Fawkes Carnival, a community procession and longstanding local tradition. The committee coordinates the event, shares practical information for participants and visitors, and works to support the carnival’s safe operation. The 2026 carnival is scheduled for 14 November, with the procession travelling from the North Petherton Rugby Football Club lay-by along the A38 to Huntworth Roundabout. The website provides carnival dates, route and entry information, results, prize lists, photographs, media resources, parking guidance and details of road closures. It also explains the temporary traffic restrictions and clearway rules introduced to protect participants, marshals and spectators. Beyond organising the procession, the committee invites the public to donate, volunteer, sponsor the event or otherwise support its work. The site also lists the organisations and causes the committee supports, and offers barrier hire. Visitors can find contact details, social media links and updates, including information about the 2027 and 2028 carnival dates.
