## Description

North Sligo Agricultural Show is a community-run annual event held in Grange, County Sligo, bringing together exhibitors, families and visitors to celebrate agriculture and local life. Organised by a voluntary committee, the show features competitions and exhibits across cattle, sheep, horses, ponies, poultry, dogs and home industries, including baking. Its programme also offers activities and entertainment for all ages, with children’s entertainment, face painting, sheep shearing, a dog show and a bonny baby competition. The 2026 event is scheduled for Saturday, 1 August, and marks the show’s 78th annual edition. The programme is set to include a cookery demonstration by chef Adrian Martin, local music and dancing, and a performance by Robert Mizzell, followed by the crowning of the Queen of the Show. Visitors can consult the programme and competition details, download entry forms, and view photographs from past shows on the event’s website. The show is supported by sponsors, exhibitors, volunteers and the local community, and welcomes the public to enjoy a full day of activities.
