## Description

North Star Curling Club is a volunteer-run, 501(c)(3) nonprofit sports education organization serving St. Cloud and the wider Central Minnesota community. Established in January 2023, the club introduces people to curling and creates opportunities to learn, play, and compete. It currently operates at the Herb Brooks National Hockey Center in St. Cloud, Minnesota, and welcomes participants of all ages and abilities.

The club offers two-hour Learn to Curl sessions for newcomers and those seeking a refresher. Experienced curlers introduce participants to sliding, sweeping, skipping, terminology, and rules. Members can also join fall and winter leagues, which typically run for five to twelve weeks and provide regular play and friendly competition. Bonspiels bring together local and visiting teams for curling events generally lasting one to three days.

North Star Curling Club’s mission is to promote health and wellness, inclusion, and cultural diversity through teaching, developing, and engaging in the Olympic sport of curling.
