North Star Fund is a community foundation that supports hundreds of organizations in New York City and the Hudson Valley. As a social justice fund, they strive to create a world where resources and power are equitably shared, enabling everyone to live with dignity and thrive. They specifically focus on grassroots organizing led by communities of color, building power and fighting for justice.

With over 40 years of experience, North Star Fund has given out over $100 million in grants to more than 2,650 organizations. They fund projects through a process that empowers community organizers and prioritizes the governance and decision-making of those directly affected by injustice. They also provide capacity-building programs and leadership development for grassroots organizations.
