## Description

North Star Minerals, LLC, founded in October 1984 by Ross C. Lillie, is a premier mineral dealership specializing in the acquisition and sale of a diverse range of minerals. With a background in geology from Michigan Technological University and experience as an exploration geologist, Ross leveraged his expertise in the mining industry to initially focus on minerals from southern Illinois until the mines closed in 1995. The company then pivoted to international minerals, with a strong emphasis on sources from Romania, Russia, Kosovo, and Bulgaria. Situated in Traverse City, Michigan, North Star Minerals invites mineral enthusiasts to explore their offerings, which include mining artifacts, acrylic bases, and an extensive mineral archive. Ross, with the support of Cathy Lillie, continues to pursue the thrill of discovering valuable ore bodies while hosting visitors by appointment. North Star Minerals combines decades of geological expertise with a commitment to providing unique and rare mineral specimens.
