## Description

The North Webster Mermaid Festival is an annual community celebration in North Webster, Indiana, hosted by the North Webster Lions Club. Established in 1946, the festival has grown from a small gathering into a beloved local tradition, bringing residents and visitors together for several days of family-friendly activities. Its 80th annual event is scheduled for June 17–20, 2026, with a theme celebrating the 1980s.

Festival offerings include pageants, parades, contests, live entertainment, activities for all ages, and food from festival vendors and local favorites. Admission and parking are free, with parking available throughout downtown and at nearby locations. The event takes place around 410 W. Washington Street, near Webster Lake.

The festival also reflects the Lions Club’s community focus: proceeds support local community programs. Beyond the summer celebration, the grounds host Escape the Labyrinth, a haunted house fundraiser benefiting the North Webster Lions Club and North Webster Scout Troop 726. Visitors can explore event information, participation applications, and sponsorship opportunities through the festival.
