- **Primary alias:** `norwaygrants.org`

## Description

The EEA and Norway Grants are vital funding mechanisms designed to promote social and economic equality across Europe. Financed by Iceland, Liechtenstein, and Norway, they aim to address disparities and enhance bilateral relations among the 15 beneficiary states, including Bulgaria, Croatia, and Romania. With a total allocation of nearly €2.8 billion for the 2014-2021 period, these grants support a wide range of projects that focus on innovation, business development, education, social inclusion, public health, and climate initiatives.

The EEA Grants, funded collectively by the donor countries, contribute about €1.5 billion, while Norway Grants, solely funded by Norway, provide approximately €1.3 billion, targeting nations that joined the EEA post-2004. Key areas of support include youth employment, cultural exchange, and environmental sustainability. Managed by dedicated committees and frameworks, these grants not only foster cooperation between nations but also empower communities, making significant strides towards creating a more prosperous and equitable Europe.
