## Description

Nord-Østerdal Hestesportsklubb (NØST) is a community horse-sport club based in Alvdal, Norway, serving members across the Fjellregion and surrounding municipalities. Founded in 1994 as Alvdal Driving and Riding Club, it adopted its current name in 2012. The club welcomes people of all experience levels and ambitions, with opportunities for both social participation and sporting development. Its guiding values are volunteering, equality, inclusion, respect and engagement.

NØST is based at Fjellregionens Ridehall, where it owns a majority share in the operating company and takes responsibility for the hall’s day-to-day running. Facilities include a club room, toilets and showers, and members can use jumping equipment. The club also has access to outdoor arenas at Storsteigen upper secondary school.

Activities include regular training sessions with different instructors, themed evenings and competitions held throughout the year, catering to a range of interests in horse sport. Members can consult the club’s activity plan for scheduled events and follow its Facebook group for current updates.
