## Description

Not Even Past is a dynamic digital magazine that serves as a comprehensive platform for Public History with a global reach. Established in 2010 by academics from the Department of History at the University of Texas at Austin, this widely-read publication attracts around half a million users annually. With three main objectives, Not Even Past endeavors to make great History writing accessible to the public, while also acting as a reliable and regularly updated online resource for historical research. The magazine publishes extended features, book and film reviews, teaching profiles, and stories that shed light on intriguing aspects of the past. While the majority of content is contributed by scholars affiliated with the University of Texas at Austin, submissions from academics and students worldwide are also published. Not Even Past also serves as a valuable tool for alumni and supporters of the History program to stay connected with the department and its diverse array of activities. The magazine's commitment to the public conversation surrounding professional historical research is evident in its powerful title: "the past is never dead, it's not even past." Not Even Past is proud to collaborate with esteemed partners such as the Institute for Historical Studies, the Harry Ransom Center, LLILAS Benson, and 15 Minute History—an influential podcast that provides a valuable resource for teachers, students, and history enthusiasts alike. Additionally, Not Even Past features podcasts from This is Democracy, which brings together voices from different generations to offer insights into current challenges and propose positive steps towards democratic change. With its dedicated staff, led by Editor Dr. Adam Clulow, Not Even Past remains committed to promoting the importance of the past in shaping our present and future.
