## Description

Notts Blood Bikes is a voluntary and free transport service dedicated to serving the NHS. As the Unseen Emergency Service, this UK Registered Charity is entirely run by unpaid volunteers. The primary goal of Notts Blood Bikes is to provide emergency transport services to the NHS, ensuring the prompt delivery of blood, platelets, samples, and even frozen breast milk to hospitals in and around Nottinghamshire. Their vehicles, easily recognizable in their vibrant 'hi-viz' livery, efficiently navigate heavy traffic to reach their destinations quickly, potentially saving precious lives. Notts Blood Bikes not only transports vital medical items but also aims to expand their services to cover every NHS facility in Nottinghamshire, operating 24/7. They offer their services free of charge, enabling the NHS to allocate their resources more effectively. To support their cause, Notts Blood Bikes welcomes volunteers who wish to contribute to their community and have spare time to spare. The organization is funded through community events, public donations, and generous contributions from companies and organizations. Every penny donated directly contributes to the running of the charity, and for every £1 received, Notts Blood Bikes is able to save the NHS about £5 in transport costs. By participating in their mission, you can help Notts Blood Bikes make a difference in saving lives.
