NoVa LitChicks is a beloved book club based in the greater Washington, DC area. Comprised entirely of women who share a passion for reading, the group has been thriving since its establishment nearly 10 years ago. With two branches, the club holds monthly meetings on the first and third Wednesdays at 7:30 PM.

Members take turns hosting at their homes, primarily in Alexandria, Arlington, or Fairfax County. The club maintains a manageable size of 12 members, all women, in their 20s, 30s, and 40s. The group prides itself on celebrating diverse literary genres, including general fiction, historical fiction, autobiography, nonfiction, short stories, young adult fiction, and even some chick lit.

When it comes to food, the hostess provides the main course and beverages, while the other attendees contribute a side dish or dessert. The group fosters engaging discussions led by the member who chose the book for the month, using guides or devising their own questions. Books are selected on a quarterly basis, with input from the entire club.
