## Description

The National Parking Platform (NPP) is a not-for-profit, open platform designed to make paying for parking simpler across the UK. It connects parking service providers with thousands of locations nationwide, helping drivers use the parking app they already know and trust in more places. Rather than offering an app of its own, the NPP enables participating providers’ apps to work across connected parking locations, giving drivers more choice in how they pay.

The platform also works with local authorities and connected suppliers, supporting a shared approach to parking services. Drivers can select their preferred app from the providers connected to the NPP, while participating locations become accessible through multiple app options. This model aims to make parking payments more convenient and consistent without requiring drivers to switch to a single platform-specific app.

The NPP provides information for drivers, local authorities, and suppliers, and shares updates and news about its work. It also states that its signage will never use QR codes, helping visitors identify official NPP-related instructions.
