## Description

The National Restaurant Association of India (NRAI) serves as the authoritative voice of the Indian restaurant industry, representing over 500,000 restaurants and a market valued at INR 5.69 lakh crores. Established in 1982 by industry luminaries including L.C. Nirula of Nirula's and Madan Lamba of Volga, NRAI aims to promote and enhance the food service sector across the nation. With a robust presence throughout India, the association is governed by a committee comprising over 30 restaurant CEOs representing both national and international brands.

NRAI is dedicated to advocacy for fair regulations, providing educational opportunities for its members and their staff, and fostering skills development within the industry. Additionally, it conducts research and hosts industry events to ensure the voices of restaurant owners and stakeholders are heard. Through initiatives such as the NRAI India Food Services Report and the COVID-19 Relief corpus, the association supports restaurateurs in adapting to economic challenges while promoting sustainable growth in the vibrant Indian food service landscape.
