## Description

Northeastern REMC is an electric cooperative serving communities in northeastern Indiana. Its website describes the organization as Indiana’s largest electric cooperative and highlights its role in powering the community. Members can use SmartHub to make secure bill payments, manage their accounts, and review electricity usage. The cooperative also provides online tools for starting or stopping service and an interactive outage map for checking current power interruptions in its service area.

Northeastern REMC offers information about electric rates, service coverage, capital credits, and practical electricity guidance through its Electric DIY resources. Its programs include a Peak Thermostat Program and a water heater rebate. Community initiatives and activities featured on the site include Operation Round Up, scholarships, free trees for Earth Day, member rewards, and support for local events such as the Arcola National Truck & Tractor Pull. The organization also shares news and updates through its LightPost newsletter. Members can contact Northeastern REMC or visit its Columbia City office for assistance with their electric service.
