## Description

The National Research Foundation of Korea (NRF) is a public research-support organization dedicated to advancing Korea’s academic and research ecosystem. It describes its role as a guide for innovation, working in line with government policies to strengthen the research and development system and foster creative talent. The foundation supports research through programs spanning science and technology, basic research, research planning, international cooperation, and talent development. Its website provides information on funding opportunities, annual program schedules, evaluation systems, application announcements, and related rules and guidance. Researchers can also access research-field classifications, lists of accredited academic journals, and answers to common program questions. Beyond funding and program administration, NRF shares research news and outcomes, policy resources, and information about its research centers and overseas cooperation. The foundation also publishes notices about seminars, procurement, and recruitment, and offers channels for researcher communication, public suggestions, and reporting research misconduct. Through these services, NRF connects researchers with opportunities, information, and institutional support across Korea’s research community.
