## Description

NRV Framework, or NeuRon Virtualizer, is an innovative Python framework designed to facilitate fast and user-friendly simulations of the Peripheral Nervous System. By utilizing the NEURON software, NRV simulates axons and computes extracellular fields, offering both analytic and detailed geometric modeling options through Finite Elements Method with tools like COMSOL and the FENICS project. This versatile framework supports various stimulation waveforms and electrode configurations, enabling the modeling of complex stimulation strategies. Optimized for extensive populations of axons, NRV automatically generates correct population distributions and assists in the computation and post-processing of axonal activity post-stimulation. Developed by contributors from the CELL research group and now maintained by the Bioelectronics group at the laboratory IMS, NRV aims to enhance research capabilities in neurophysiology.
