## Description

North Shore FlyFishers Club (Inc.) is a recreational fishing club formed in 2003 to promote freshwater and saltwater fly fishing in Auckland’s North Shore and surrounding suburbs. With approximately 70 members at its last reported count, the club brings together anglers of different experience levels to learn, share knowledge and enjoy fishing.

The club offers organised trips to lakes, rivers and streams, along with opportunities for saltwater fly fishing from shore or boat. Members can take part in competitions, club meetings and events, and access casting tuition and peer support across techniques including overhead casting, Skagit and Czech nymphing. The club also provides beginner training weekends, typically held on the Ohinemuri River near Paeroa, and hosts monthly fly-tying tuition when available. Fly-tying videos, newsletters, fishing articles and tips help members build their skills and stay informed about club activities. North Shore FlyFishers presents itself as a place for practical learning, experienced guidance and camaraderie, with resources and activities suited to both newcomers and established fly fishers.
