## Description

Nursing Clio is a history-focused publication that explores the connections between health, medicine, gender, and society. Guided by the motto “The Personal is Historical,” it brings historical perspectives to contemporary issues and makes scholarship accessible to a broad readership. Its editorial collective and contributors publish historical essays, book reviews, interviews, announcements, and undergraduate writing on subjects including reproductive justice, public health, medical practice, race, gender, and family policy. Recent coverage examines topics such as the history of eugenics, reproductive politics after Roe, community organizing for health justice, and the legacy of influential work in gender history. Nursing Clio also offers resources for readers and educators, including syllabi and curated reading lists, and publishes The Nursing Clio Reader through Rutgers University Press and Bookshop.org. The organization supports scholarship through its annual prize for the best peer-reviewed academic journal article and recognizes emerging writers through interviews and writing features. Authors can find submission guidance, a style guide, and calls for writers, while readers can browse articles by topic, subscribe, or support the publication through donations.
