## Description

Sigma Nursing, also known as Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, is a global community that supports excellence and impact across the nursing profession. Since 1922, it has brought together more than one million nurses, educators, researchers, and academics at every career stage, across specialties and more than 100 countries. Its network includes over 600 chapters, connecting members through both local communities and international perspectives.

Membership offers opportunities to develop professionally, share knowledge, and contribute to better healthcare. Resources include live and on-demand webinars on leadership, research, and clinical practice; a job board with career-preparation guidance; access to two highly ranked nursing journals and the Sigma Repository; and free or discounted continuing education credits. Members can also connect through The Circle, Sigma’s online forum, and build leadership and professional skills through Virtual Academy cohort programs. Sigma supports the nursing community with events, awards, and grants, while sharing stories that highlight members’ work and recognizing achievements such as induction as Fellows of the American Academy of Nursing.
