## Description

Nuwa is a Centre of Excellence and Innovation focused on strengthening Europe’s resilience and competitiveness. It partners with humanitarian and development organisations, public institutions, regulated industries, cultural organisations and other impact-driven groups to reduce the risks of adopting emerging technologies. Through applied research, experimentation and real-world validation, Nuwa helps turn innovation into governed, measurable capabilities.

Its work spans societal resilience, cultural cohesion, human skills enhancement and social inclusion. Nuwa supports crisis preparedness and civil protection, digital transformation in manufacturing, and the preservation and accessibility of cultural heritage. It also develops immersive training and simulation environments, with accessibility and neurodiversity considered in its solutions.

Nuwa’s portfolio includes platforms for cultural productions, emergency preparedness, humanitarian field operations, cultural heritage institutions and regulated manufacturing. Its engagement process moves from discovery and constrained experimentation to operational pilots and production-scale deployment, with attention to outcomes, ethics, compliance and interoperability. Nuwa also shares case studies, research, publications and practical insights to demonstrate results and lessons from its programmes.
