The Northern Virginia Therapeutic Riding Program (NVTRP) is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization that is dedicated to helping individuals reach their highest potential through equine-assisted activities. Their services cater to people with disabilities, youth-at-risk, recovering military personnel, and others in need. Located at O'Shaughnessy Farm, NVTRP offers various programs and services to children and adults living with disabilities in the Washington Metropolitan Area.

Whether it's a child diagnosed with autism, a teen coping with the effects of abuse, or a veteran recovering from an amputation or post-traumatic stress disorder, NVTRP provides therapeutic riding, physical therapy, and occupational therapy to focus on individuals' abilities rather than disabilities. Additionally, NVTRP offers riding lessons and summer camp to individuals without disabilities. With over forty years of experience, NVTRP is nationally recognized for their high-quality programs and is committed to building inclusive and resilient communities
