## Description

The Dutch Society of Cardiology (Nederlandse Vereniging voor Cardiologie, or NVVC) is the scientific association for cardiologists in the Netherlands. It brings together cardiologists and other healthcare professionals involved in caring for people with cardiovascular disease. The society works to improve the quality, development and policy of cardiovascular care, while advocating for greater attention and investment in heart health.

NVVC supports its members and the wider cardiology community through clinical guidelines, continuing education, accreditation information and professional networks. Its committees and working groups cover areas such as prevention, heart failure, imaging, genetics, sports cardiology, digital health and artificial intelligence. The association also shares professional news, job opportunities and information about upcoming conferences, including its joint autumn congress with the Dutch Association for Thoracic Surgery.

Members can access the Netherlands Heart Journal online through the NVVC member area. Through its resources, events and collaborative initiatives, NVVC aims to advance cardiovascular care and contribute to a healthier future for people in the Netherlands.
