## Description

The National Weather Association Foundation, established in 2016, is dedicated to supporting the future of meteorology through various initiatives aimed at students and educators. With a mission to provide financial assistance, recognition, and encouragement, the foundation creates opportunities that enhance public awareness of high-impact weather resilience. Its efforts include offering scholarships and educator grants, alongside comprehensive weather and safety education programs tailored for all age groups—from K-12 to college and adults. The foundation also emphasizes the importance of weather safety through educational materials on topics like tornado and severe thunderstorm safety. Led by a committed board of directors including President Nate Johnson and Vice-President Gail Hartfield, the National Weather Association Foundation aims to foster a dynamic weather enterprise that educates and equips communities to effectively respond to severe weather events. Donations to this 501(c)(3) charitable foundation support its vital programs, making a significant impact on meteorological education and public safety awareness.
